Traditional Screeds

Ready mixed screed
1-4, 3: sand and cement screed for a bonded floor.
Ready mixed fibre screed
1-4, 3: sand and cement screed with polypropylene fibres for unbonded floors (ie. underfloor heating).

Rapid Hardening Screeds

Fast drying cement can be walked on after 3 hours dry enough to receive floor coverings after 24 hours.

Self Levelling Screeds

Can be pump or hand mixed to receive floor coverings after 24 hours.

SBR Polymer Screeds

Can be laid to a minimum of to 6mm and walked on as early as 24 hours.

Anhydrite Flowing Screeds

For larger areas of floors laid in a single day walkable in 24-48 hours.

The BRE Tester...

Is a piece of equipment to measure the soundness of a sand / cement floor screed as early as 14 days after laying. This device consists of a 1m long, cylindrical guide rod, along which an annular weight of 4kg travels when released. At the bottom of the guide rod the weight hits the upper collar of a case-hardened steel anvil which transmits the impact to the selected area of the screed into a 500mm2 circular area of screed. Four successive impact blows on the same spot are sufficient to test the soundness of the screed.
