Floor Screeding Contractors in Peterborough
Paul Villiers Floor Screeding Ltd is a well-established company that has been providing quality, trustworthy screeding services in Peterborough for over 25 years. Our experience in the industry has allowed us to build up a great reputation for our first class service and high-quality floor screed.
Our wealth of experience means that we can lay a wide range of flooring screed to a very high standard. We work with traditional screed, anhydrite screed, liquid screed and much more.
Traditional screed is often crack resistant and is delivered ready mixed to speed up the process. It also leaves a smooth finish and is a cost-effective screeding solution. The drying and setting time for traditional screed is 1mm a day up to 40mm, and for thicker screeds, it is usually 1/2mm a day.
Liquid screed is also available and arrives premixed. This type of screed can be laid at a lower depth and sets a lot quicker than traditional screed, which is the main reason for it becoming the more popular option. The faster setting time allows for you to lay your floor sooner, helping you to complete your project in a shorter time frame.
Rules and Regulations
Although planning permission is not directly needed for floor screeding, if it is part of a construction project then planning permission might need to be acquired from Peterborough Council. It is required that all floor screeds must meet the minimum requirements for a number of building regulations.
